Sunday was another beautiful day — our getaway day. After packing, we walked down to 27th near Park for lunch at Blue Smoke.

Blue Smoke is Danny Meyer's slickly run BBQ experience for diners of all ages. From the fine tuned menu, to the bubbly young servers, to the hand washing trough — it's vintage Danny Meyer. And it's excellent BBQ.

Blue Smoke is our way of detoxing from a gluttonous week of wine and rich food. Blue Smoke Original ale, St. Louis toasted ravioli, Memphis baby back ribs, and sautéed spinach is just what the doctor ordered — at least this doctor.

We usual order the sweet potato wedge fries with maple dip, but we didn't want to overdo it!

And after five plays, fifteen meals and lots of walking, we headed back to our apartment, gathered our belongings, and took a taxi to the airport.
